Transfer a domain to FileGnome

If you'd like to transfer a domain to FileGnome, here's what you need to do.

1. Unlock Your Domain

Log in to your current registrar and unlock your domain. This allows it to be transferred.

2. Get Your Authorization Code (EPP Code)

Ask your current provider for your EPP or Auth Code - this is like your domain’s transfer password.

3. Start the Transfer on FileGnome

Head to your FileGnome WebPanel, choose “Add Domain”, and enter your domain name. Then, select "I own this domain elsewhere" and enter the Transfer/EPP code. Complete the form to request a transfer to FileGnome. We will contact you via E-Mail with further information regarding potential transfer costs. You can then respond to this e-mail and officially request the transfer.

4. Confirm the Transfer

Once you have given us the green light, you’ll receive a confirmation email at the domain’s administrative contact address. Follow the link inside to approve the transfer.

5. Wait a Bit (Usually 5–7 Days)

Transfers usually finish within a week, depending on your old registrar. Once it’s done, you’ll see your domain listed in your FileGnome WebPanel.
